On Friday, July 25th, at 9:00 PM, the third meeting of participants in the European BeStrong project took place at the association’s headquarters on Corso Mazzini in Santa Croce sull’Arno. It was an intense and engaging evening.

All those in attendance, members of the Cossan association, listened with interest and emotion to the stories of the migrants who participated in the meeting.
The questions, posed by the facilitators, covered a variety of topics: their names, their country of origin, their families, the journey to Italy, their jobs, their hopes. And it was precisely the story of their journey that was deeply engaging, prompting further questions from those in attendance.
The migrants told us that the journey by sea, by dinghy and by boat, was very difficult due to the lack of food, little water, the presence of so many people, and the fear of not making it to safety. Landing in Lampedusa and being able to speak with their families, after days of travel without being able to contact them, represented a moment of intense emotion and a new beginning in Italy.

We finally said our warmest goodbyes, planning a future meeting to build mind maps.
